Okay, but like... Who the hell are you?
Okay, relax. I'll tell you a little about myself, so just calm down.
I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan with my two remarkable parents, Mari and Gene, and my shorter, lucky-to-look-like-me big brother, Bryant. I now live in NYC with two humans and a cat by the name of Arthur.
I began performing after my dream of becoming a professional athlete no longer seemed feasible. Obviously, becoming an actor would be the next step. (Please hold your applause for the end)
I had always been driven to the stage and screen - acting in my first feature film during my junior year of high school. Starting with that experience and my experience playing Sweeney Todd my senior year, I decided to pursue this industry full force.
I earned my BFA in Music Theatre Performance at Western Michigan University. I spent my summers working around the country and trying to figure out how to make money doing what I had previously paid to do or done for free. Getting paid to act: feels like stealing.
I'm continually writing and working on creating new works. I’m currently developing a television show and writing a feature film. I’m always trying to find people with a passion for storytelling in an efficient way. Connecting with like-minded individuals who have the motivation to not only do the work and find the work, but create it. After all, the best way to find work is to make your own. More on that soon...
When I am not performing, I'm likely binge-watching reruns of Spongebob Squarepants, college football, any new television series, or playing my PS4 for hours on end. I grew up playing with Pokémon cards and Legos, and I'm still finding new ways to remain a kid within a world that expects me to grow up too quickly.
Take time today to be a kid and love life.
You can bet your ass I will.
Also... Ranch. Like... so much ranch.
